Highlights of the New Battery World 2025

The New Battery World 2025, powered by Drees & Sommer, was created in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Dudenhöffer and focused on innovations and trends in battery technology, production and charging infrastructure as well as the potential of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies.

From February 26 - 28, 2025, we brought together over 600 experts from the manufacturing industry to help shape the future of battery tech and fuel cells. The exclusive tours of the BMW Cell Manufacturing Competence Center (CMCC) in Parsdorf and the BMW Center of Excellence for Battery Cells (BCCC) in Munich were a particular highlight.

Press news

The New Battery World 2025 focused on future technologies for climate-friendly mobility. With exciting contributions on hydrogen solutions, e-mobility and sustainable infrastructure, the congress provided important impetus for the industry.

The event was opened by Frank Blome, CEO of PowerCo SE. In his keynote speech, he emphasized the strategic importance of a strong, local battery industry for Europe.
